Course Objectives: Course particpants will gain hands-on experience with advanced robotic tasks such as robot mastering, coordinated motion, frame setup, tool center point calibration, and utilize advanced ArcTool software functions designed to improve repeatability in production welding environments.

Topics:
- Safety precautions while performing advanced functions with IPG laser systems and FANUC robots
- Teach pendant keys, menus, screens, and commonly used instructions for programming weld routines
- Defining custom User Frames, Jog Frames, and Touch Frames
- Teaching a Tool Frame/Tool Center Point (TCP) through the six-point method
- Robot mastering and mastering procedures
- Working with advanced ArcTool options: Touch Sensing, TAST, Multi-Pass Welding (MPW), Root Pass Memorization (RPM), Coordinated Motion
- Formatting USB storage/memory card, saving and restoring from images
Prerequisites and Recommendations:
- Working knowledge of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes
- FANUC Basic Robotic Programming & Operations class completion or equivalent on-the-job experience (with Training Manager approval)
