Cleaning with light: how it works

The CL 500iM uses short pulses of laser light to remove rust, paint, coatings, and other coatings without damaging what's underneath. These surface contaminants absorb the laser energy and rapidly vaporize or seperate from the underlying material, leaving it clean and ready for downstream processes.

Cleaning with light eliminates physical contact with the workpiece, producing little more than easily-extracted fumes. Cleaning remotely enables exceptional control over the process while eliminating consumables like abrasives and chemicals.

The CL 500iM laser cleaning gun is operated with a simple point-and-shoot design and laser parameters like power, pulse settings, and cleaning width are easily adjusted and saved with an intuitive touch screen interface.
