Nanosecond Pulsed Fiber Lasers

IPG Photonics offers Ytterbium Pulsed Fiber Lasers with adjustable pulse waveforms in the range of 150 ps to 350 ns. The output powers range up to 100 W with pulse energies up to 1 mJ. Pulse repetition rates range from 2 kHz to 10 MHz. The laser power can be adjusted in a wide range of pulse repetition rates independent of the pulse energy. These compact air-cooled, maintenance-free modules are designed for OEM applications. Fine processing of thin foils and coating as well as treatment of surfaces can be optimized using wide range of operating parameters. They are ideal for applications in micromachining, resistor trimming, photovoltaics, scribing, texturing and marking.

YLPN-1×350 Series is a family of maintenance-free pulsed Ytterbium fiber lasers designed for OEM applications. These lasers deliver a high power 1.06 µm laser beam directly to the work piece via a flexible fiber cable.

YLPN lasers emit optical average power in range 10-100 W from a small air-cooled package. The robust  fiber based design enclosed into rugged metal case allow these compact laser modules to operate in the harsh industrial environment.

YLPN lasers generate pulses up to 1mJ energy, the average power can be scaled independently of the energy. Output isolator ensures high output power stability and allows to process highly reflective materials. The laser is triggered externally in wide pulse repetition frequency range.

 

Pulse waveforms: The laser contains a number of factory pre-calibrated pulse waveforms in range 1-350 ns. Fine processing of thin foils and coating as well as treatment of surfaces is easy to adjust using wide range of operating parameters.

Fine pulse management: The  “Bitstream 1” mode ensures instant emission of nominal energy pulses with any set of operating parameters. No first pulse suppression or delayed optical response phenomena has to be handled. “Bitstream 1” mode allows precise marking of bitmaps with individual pulse control as well as accurate vector and raster marking.
