LaserDrill 4-Axis, LaserDrill4-Axis Compact

The LaserDrill 4-Axis Workcell is a compact and highly cost-efficient tool providing precision laser hole drilling. The system is designed for use with IPG’s QCW lasers where high pulsed mode peak power provides deep penetration, even in highly reflective materials. Applications range from drilling thin ceramic microelectronic components at rates exceeding thousands of holes per second, to drilling metallic parts up to half an inch (13mm) thick. The LaserDrill system is compatible with QCW lasers up to 2,000W average, 20 kW peak power. With a rugged industrial construction, this system includes a granite table and superstructure for thermal and mechanical stability. High-accuracy linear-drive motors and low-mass processing head are optimized for the high-speed machining.

Standard LaserDrill 4-Axis is configured with enhanced accuracy stages up to 500 mm travel, while the LaserDrill 4-Axis Compact provides 300 mm travel and is offered at alower cost for less demanding applications. Custom configurations with additional motion axes can be quoted upon request.
