Multi-axis Workstations are designed for relatively small, (less and 300mm on a side) three-dimensional parts.  Typically, the laser beam is kept fixed in position, and the part is moved beneath the beam on a precision stage system that combines X, Y, Z and Theta rotation. Variants of this system can provide more rotation axis, and allow tilting of the beam. The workstations can be equipped with automatic part loading and vision alignment capabilities, and are typically used in situations where smaller parts may require higher precision welding placement.

The Laser Welding Workcell provides similar 3-D object welding capabilities, but is designed for larger dimensioned parts that are typically held stationary while the welding head is moved around the part using an industrial 6-axis robot. System options typically include provisions for ergonomic  part loading, and can include a part rotation table.

Manufacturing of tubes and profiles where continuously-fed metal sheets are mechanically formed into the desired shape and welded along the longitudinal seam is done with the Tube and Profile Welder.  Integrating the fiber laser, welding head and vision system for seam-tracking with a 3-axis motion platform, the Tube and Profile Welder is designed for easy integration with the metal handling equipment that feeds in the metal stack.

Laser Seam Steppers are used in automobile panel welding applications, typically as a replacement for resistance spot welding. Laser seam stepper provides the user with a number of benefits: adjustable clamping force, improved strength and stiffness of workpiece after welding, faster process speed vs resistance spot welding, no expensive laser safety cabinets required, significantly reduced flange sizes and minimal clamping and fixturing efforts. Seam stepper provides a laser welded seam up to 4 cm in length, and can be used on a wide variety of materials.    Seam Steppers
