IPG’s rack mounted systems are built using our own proprietary amplifier modules, providing the best reliability characteristics available in the market today. CATV network providers providing triple play capability require efficient optical amplifiers that can meet this challenge. Optimized for low noise, IPG EDFAs allow for clear transmission of video, voice and data signals.

These Rack mounted units are also available in a hardened optional configuration that is designed to operate in outside cabinets for CATV as well as Fiber to The Home applications.   These space-efficient rack mount amplifiers are available in both single optical channel and up to 8 DWDM multiple output configurations. For architectures requiring up to 30 output ports, including FTTP, IPG offers a 2 RU version of this product.

IPG's 1 RU EDFAs are available with up to 200 mW (23 dBm) per port output power. Carrier to noise (CNR) is maintained to typically better than 1 dB.
