IPG Photonics' Burbach Facility welcomed the Landrat from the district Siegen- Wittgenstein and his colleaugues on August 10, 2009. The visit was well received and the following comments were made:
"I am extremely impressed regarding the development in recent years - IPG Laser reports a true triumphal procession on the world markets. IPG is an exceptional example of the outstanding companies we have here in Siegen-Wittgenstein. Unfortunately, these global market leaders usually remain unknown to the general public. Not until we are aware of our own strengths, can others, such as engineers or skilled tradesmen for the local economic system, find our region attractive," stressed the District Chief Executive.
